The Gallery
Robert and Lesley Orr, successful restaurateurs have settled in West Buckland, Somerset, in a 200 year old stone cottage, tucked away but easily reached from Junction 26 of the M5 motorway. With lovely gardens and an apple orchard the cottage is complete with views across fields to the lofty village church. Robert and Lesley have created a warm, informal and relaxed atmosphere, where the smell of homemade bread wafts through the cottage. Lesley runs cookery demonstrations and will gladly prepare you a good supper by arrangement. Ideally situated for an overnight stop on the way to Cornwall, Causeway Cottage can also serve as a base from which to explore the glorious sights, unknown to many, of Devon and Somerset. Robert, with an extensive knowledge of the south west region, enjoys helping you plan day trips, whether for visiting gardens, National Trust properties, walks, or drives to coasts and moors.
